An interactive video installation for Hour House

Output Arts were asked to contribute an interactive installation to the Hour House project in Guisborough and Skelton, 2024. This series of linked events celebrated the residents of specific streets in the two towns. A pair of giant video walls at the two locations connected residents to each other through four virtual worlds, each based on a real location in the area. Participants were transported into the worlds via 3D cameras that allowed them to move around objects in these worlds and play with the lights. The two sites were merged together in realtime so that people at one site could see and interact with each other.

Hour House was produced by BloomInArt Collective and created in collaboration with residents from Guisborough and Skelton. Commissioned by Borderlands Creative People and Places and funded by Arts Council England, with support from Tees Million.
