Since 2018, Output Arts have made a Christmas light installation for The Old Church in Stoke Newington. In 2020 we presented Twinkle, a set of stars that appear to have fallen from the heavens and got stuck in the ground. The artwork reflects the difficult year that 2020 was, but brought some welcome cheer and hope to see us into 2021.
From September to November 2020, Output Arts were resident in The Old Church producing two huge lighting commissions (GLOW and Crystal Garden). We owe an enormous debt of gratitude to The Old Church and St Mary’s for their support. Twinkle was made, with our thanks to the church community, from the off-cuts and spare materials from those commissions and – as with all of our work – will go on to be shown again, repurposed and recycled.
